Hi, I'm Melodie.

I love crafting and do-it-yourself projects.
I love quilting. I even love free motion quilting.

But I don't love the stress and hassle of deciding what to quilt on each area of a project.

SEW * HARMONY stencils were created so that I could stitch beautiful edge-to-edge designs without sending my quilts to a long-armer.

An Idea...

DIY Quilter

I have always been a DIY quilter, and after falling in love with the quilting stencils I received with a magazine subscription - but failing to find more that I could purchase afterwards - I was on a mission to create my own.

What started as plastic film stencils cut on my Cricut, soon evolved.

Progression of an Idea...

It's All in the Details

My designs expanded to include all of the things I wish typical stencils had:

  • An easy way to align rows.
  • A sturdier material that would not bend and snag when stored.
  • A tool that could be used in multiple ways rather than a single design.
  • Modern edge-to-edge patterns that I could sew in a continuous line.
SEW * HARMONY's three signature quilting stencils packaged with their information pamphlets and displayed on a white-wash woodgrain surface. The three quilting stencils are the Hexie Pop, Loop De Loop, and Hills acrylic stencils made from 3mm transparent light green material.

Products Come to Life...

SEW*HARMONY

After multiple iterations, SEW*HARMONY stencils were born. Our three signature stencils offer an incredible array of quilting designs for you to finish your projects. More than anything, I am excited for others to experience the joy I've found in using these stencils. Using stencils has expanded my skills in Free Motion Quilting. It has freed me from struggling to come up with a new or creative design for each block when FMQ. And it has empowered me to finish my works in progress that have been piling up over the years.
